A Little About
Mary - Owner of
Beadlemania
Mary and her husband
moved to Fernandina Beach in 1999. Their
children were grown and remained in the
Tampa area.
Their daughter started a new hobby when a
friend from church opened a bead store in
Brandon, Florida. She made a beautiful
bracelet of Swarovski crystals for
Mother's Day. Mary was just in awe that
she made something so pretty, and so
professionally done. Knowing that Mary had
always enjoyed crafts, the daughter
suggested Mary open a bead store since
Amelia Island didn't have one.
That started the whole idea. Mary was
managing a local gift shop at the time,
which was wonderful retail training. She
started doing some research in the
Jacksonville and Tampa area's and decided
to "go for it". Four short months later,
Beadlemania was up and running.
Beadlemania has really found Mary since
she had no idea of ever owning her own
business.
Owning Beadlemania has been a very
rewarding venture. Mary has made some
wonderful friends and started a whole
bunch of ladies with a beading habit.
Every day is a new adventure as new folks
from all over enter her life.
Mary's daughter, son and husband have all
been a wonderful support group. They all
helped put the original store together,
then helped once again as Beadlemania
changed locations in the summer of 2005.
Mary would like to give a special "thank
you" to all her great friends at church
who are her biggest
cheerleaders.
